I don't feel that different on Mondays than I do any other day of the week. Where did the term Blue Monday even come from? If anything Tuesdays are the worst days, too far to even think about the weekend and it's the day when time seems to go so slow. I think it's a psychological thing really. I don't mind Mondays...

Do you ever assign stories to people or objects? Last week I spent the majority of my train ride staring at this woman who had the most extraordinary face, the folds in her face and her visible laugh lines were fascinating to look at, almost as if each wrinkle had its own story to whisper. She had around 8 piercings on each ear and her hands were serenaded with faded henna and grainy blisters. In my mind, we were best friends and we'd just returned to England from living abroad for a year and now we were on our way to collect ours awards for being the awesomest friends in the history of the universe. We were just that awesome.

I like to assign personalities, colours and egos to stuff, especially for days of the week. For example,

1. Yellow Sundays are like Polar Bears.
2. Orange Saturdays are Hounds.
3. Pink Fridays are Pugs. 
4. Purple Thursdays are massive Dogs. 
5. Teal Wednesdays are Rabbits. 
6. Green Tuesdays are Snails and 
7. Blue Mondays are like Bears to me... 

I think I like bears, I like Winnie The Pooh, who is a Bear. And wasn't he drawn on a Monday or something? This is a lie. So with that in mind, here's to Mondays... If no one will appreciate you, I will dear Blue Bear Monday.
